The X22 did just enough damage for a start.
It wasn't exactly expected, but the X22 did just enough to stand tall amongst those X24, S-Yards and the ever green Ping. I thought it was a good buy and it didn't disappoint either. My nemesis Mr RGS, for the record the Miri whitewash was somewhat avanged not taking the buggy contest into consideration. But you are still a tough guy to barbeque and certainly not a pushover on any day. The old man is getting tired of being slaughtered but once in a while a victory is a very welcomed result. Mr JB was possessed on the day and what can i say. it was always difficult catching up with 5 down and six holes to play. But hopefully things will change soon and maybe right up to the Inter-community tournament so that i can have something to remember about my X22 in years to come. My TM200 series would probably have to go so that it won't feel so nostalgic seeing them in the bag. AP is still fighting to be where he rightfully belongs at HCP11. But he will make it soon and when that time come your JabRick dance can kiss goodbye and your will need to find a new gimmic. JB better be warned cos my partner is getting really annoyed of the financial damages from the buggy contest. So come Saturday JabRick better be ready.

North Borneo Tour calamities
The north borneo golf tour went as scheduled, thanks to AP who was responsible for the club arrangements and RGS specially for the Fortuna ride. A very smooth ride indeed. But it was a different story on the course and although i did manage to tame the little suckling creature at Sibu golf club, that creature turned into a wild Pangga in Miri and with its taring bared on the par 3 ninth hole and par 4 fifteenth i guess, the barbeque was abandoned and instead i got burned . But there was still hope for the return leg in Bintulu and Sibu. However as fate would have had it another sunami strike and this time aroung it was a total washout by default and there was no Bintulu or Sibu leg played.
I heard today that the unfortunate news have been conveyed to the heavenly god for consideration to the Bidayuh Community team with a more discreete comment that JS form have hit rock bottom and just like Tiger woods, he only manage to crawl into the 30 something using a wild card as the Captain's pick. That was embarrasing as this is the most prestigious of all tournament in the whole damned world where you have to defend your entire tribe and community from extinction not just at the course but in the whole wide world. Maybe i should look for a new game something along the line of addiction as advocated by woods. But wild card or not, Captain's pick or otherwise, i remain grateful that there will be another day and another battle to win. RGS you may want to know that i may not bee 100 % ready by this Sunday but when i need to, you can be assured of a decent fight and most rewarding in terns of compensation for school fees.
See yayayayayayaya.

Moonshine JB
It seems like a very long time ago and strange but that's golf and you can never tell why even the world no.1 can still miss the cut albeit with all sort of excuses. But it was no coincidence and there certainly wasn't any excuse available for JB when the Saturday round [15/5] was over. It was moonshining over JB and thank goodness i was spared the normal clinic visit as the sun was smiling over me and my other 2 buddies. If there was any consolation at all, JB played a fantastic 39 on the front nine and a 42 on the back nine but still end up paying even the additional bill as the feast was so huge that even the collection was insufficient to cover the damage. The winners did not collect a cent and worst still i was so convinced that the number 4430 would bring some luck but it was just the reverse and boy did i not regret not getting 0344 instead cos that turned out to be the lucky number. As usual it was not meant to be for me except for the satisfaction for doing rather well on the fairways and putting green to avoid the indignity of having to visit the ever friendly skin specialist. KL of course had the last laugh but it was really a bad day for JB playing 39 and 41 and still skinless. What to do bro.its just another bad day and another tiger missing the cut can be a great motivator for the coming WBGC. RGS don't say that you have not been warned. The old man may be swinging his rusty old TM200 series but it can also burn the fairways and roll the putting green flat heh heh heh heh. I hope this is timely news for WBGC.

golf extravaganza when it was least expected
We just can never tell when our next best round of golf will be but golf is a game that is full of surprises and your good round can just well be your first game after a long absence. Who would have thought that an old rusty iron set with a not so advanced high-tech driver and a shaky 56 year grandfather can outdrive and out-play a couple of thirty something youths playing in their prime age. But that's exactly what happened last sunday when this shaky 56 year old grandpa recorded a back nine score on Demak nine of 6 pars one double bogey and a not so attractive double par to clinch 4 skins and some additional bonus payment to put the icing on the cake. My nemesis Mr RGS was up to his nose trying to keep pace and fortunately he was able to do just enough to ensure that our eligible bachelor (who else if not Mr JB) bail him out with the bonus and RGS was merely playing the role as a channel for the transaction. As usual the old man started very slowly and RGS was firing right from the first hole but he was kind enough to allow the veteran to call the shot for LD which was never called because it was conditional upon RGS getting tired and probably by the tenth hole to start the LD but he was strong alright and there was little point to have the LD duel by then. My buggy mate did justice on the front nine and i probably took over at the back nine to roast our nemesis JBRICK 3 and 2 [5-0 to the finishing hole]. I bet JBRICK can't wait for the return grudge match and i can't blame him but his opportunity will come soon enough [Sat. May 1 to be exact]. I just hope my trusted putter stays with me for the whole 18 holes and also my drive stays on the fairway. Till then JBRICK.

Easter Sunday date
JBRick,
Many thousand apologies for the Easter Sunday breakaway from PG Club. I had to fulfill several obligations and as a result i was unable to commit to the date which i was eagerly looking forward to. I don't know how you all fare that day but the weather was really fine and i thought that there would be some story to tell. PG club can be both tricky and nasty and the par 3 can never be under estimated. I hate to think that my 9 Iron can't even reach the 100m/yd par 3 but that's the story so far and maybe in future i will just have to hit a magic wood if that is what it will take to be on the green ha ha ha ha ha.

It was my magic wood 7
Small correction. It was my magic wood 7 that caused the damaged because I was tempted to use my pondan wood. And ofcourse you know my putting from the apron. Its lethal and that was the difference but RGS was still a threat with his short game. So when we meet again I have to be more careful around the green. I am still looking forward to our next match.

sweet victory on my jink hole
The victory was both thrilling and sweet because it happened on that final jink hole. Or was it a stroke of luck really on reflection. RGS don't normally have a melt down particularly with that heavy putter but that was the story of the weekend and boy am I glad to be the victor instead of the victim. JBBO you have picked the wrong match to have RGS alone to fight for your team.this time you have to wait a little longer for a return match and when that is done JSAP will also be ready. To JBRick I can only say that JSAP will be ready anytime.

FTiz Vs FT5 Kalah all the way.
I have to admit that in terms of Technoage that's a decade in age but versatility and reliability may not necessarily be measured in Techno age. I have to rely on consistency and some skills. The incentive will probably make the difference and I am looking for a positive return on my investment so JBRick better be ready.

Weekend of wierd golf but sounds familiar
JBBO,
That weekend of wierd golf sounds very familiar. I wanted to comment on your blog but can't seem to find the icon for comment or can't get to do it on your blog so i have decided to write my comment here instead. RGS is one hell of a guy with his freak quick fixes so says David Leadbater but the tiger is out of the woods and come this Sunday, Siol/Demak would be an interesting prospect. I personally have something to prove cos playing 8 strokes on a par 3 hole 6 Siol did not feel good and it was an expensive snowman on a par 3. I hope RGS brings his heavy putter so that his wrist will tire after 9 holes to give me some chance as i have not been able to hit or putt any ball till now. Lacking match practice can be costly but i will make sure that he do not be too far on his lead --itu pun kalaw dia boleh. I heard he out-drive you and PP, that's embarrasing but then again he always have technological advantage so maybe he deserves to out-drive us all to justify all those investment in technology. I wouldn't feel too bad if he out-drives me for obvious reason but i will try to keep up with him and stay on dry ground at Siol. DS souinds doomed with his successive moonses and i just hope that will not happen to me too. If the stake is right that will be more motivating and hopefully the game will be both fun and challenging. See you on Sunday for yet another grudge round of 18 holes and hopefully RGS won't be so precise in his putting and maybe have more slice in his driving to give me some chance.

Last Sunday in History
It was a weekend that shouldn't have been remembered at least not for the killer hole 6 Siol. It just had to be my starting hole of all the 18 holes and i had a good swim with two balls down to the bottom of the monitor lizard filled ponds [both right side and left]. I played 8 on that miserable par 3 and my golf was gone. If RGS had been there and betted on that executive hole then i was doomed. I had to crawled and clawed my way back to produce some superb putting to come back with a respectable gross score of 3 under [par 100 layout course] - that is if there is one anywhere else in this whole planet except at KGS in this wonderful rainforest island of Borneo wher golf is played only by weekend golfers bent on slaughtering each other. I am ofcourse referring to the glamorous 4 who are inseperable come Saturday or late Sunday afternoon. I am not too sure how my nemesis fared in the late afternoon but with DS again skinless i believe things must have been quite good. So i am looking forward to this Saturday and hopefully that cruel fate on the par 3 hole six Siol will not repeat itself again.

RGS vs JS
Mouth-watering and challenging indeed and I can't wait to have this duel although I have to admit that I may be at a disadvantage with my antique tools. But I can't change that fact and I just have to deal with it. But the format may also be more favourable cos' JBBO will not be able to influence the team result. Santubong/Matang is not always kind but it's still neutral so RGS better be informed.I may be testing my blade putter again and hopefully it will be more effective.

woody woodpecker
It was a fine day for golf yesterday and what a day it was.I had a slow start due in part to the lower incentive and my lost ball right at the first hole. I never got a chance to breathe until the cross-over. The moon was already appearing on the horizon even before the second nine. Fortunately I was not alone cos the pitching and putting specialist also went down and RGS was only spared because of JS's poor putting.
What I'd really like to highlight is the injury inflicted on the environment with a cannon-like hammering on the environmentally friendly tree by JBBO. It was vicious and his cannon ball went about 50 meters back. Then he did something that was very strange, pitching his ball to only 3feet up and probably 3 feet forward, well short of the 20 meters needed.
The sweet part of yesterday's game was holding my putt on hole 17 and 18 to tie the game and stay one up and win. On the personal duel, RGS was up after 9 holes but JS did well enough to tie after winning the back nine. AP was majestic again doing extremely well and winning 2 skins and almost skinning all of us. I am looking forward to next sunday and hopefully my game improves. See you guys.

Pandan Chicken delight.
Ya APJS combination did not come out top today but the 3 day event at three different venues was one to be remembered. I did another disappearing act again today hit my second shot with a putter on a par 4. I bet Tiger Woods or Ernie Els would have been very worried to know that somewhere in the island of Borneo, you actually have to play some shots with your putter although you are still about 150 meters to the green. But then again they don't call that course or rather the club a prison's club if they are not surrounded by high fences and you could only lay your shot with your putter to sneak the ball through. My nemesis was suggesting that he would probably buy a cheap left-handed rescue wood just in case he has to rescue some prisoners at the edge of the fence. The duel today was close but it was not in APJS favour so we will just have to try harder next Sunday.

Moment of truth
The clock is ticking and i am getting a little bit excited. I have not done anything on and off the course but i should still be ready in mind and spirit and hopefully the feel is still there when the crunch putt is required. I hope my nemesis brings along the power putter and the woodpecker driver. I ask Night Rider to scan the planet and wow what a surprise feedback i got. The scanned images showed Callaway Diablo driver and succulent firm buttock irons in the bag. That should be quite a challenge but i got confirmation from my partner that he is ready and so we are both ready for the crunch battle. I am looking forward to another good round to even the score at 3-3. See you both JabiRick.

What a day it was today.
I did not think that this day would come not any sooner at least but it came and it came in style too. First there was this beautiful tee-shirt , compliment from the one and only JBBO, then i had to do a semi strip or shall i say indecent exposure to put it on in full view of my nemesis non other than RGS , and finally a hurried tee shot. But it was guns blazing right from the start and i think that JBBO look alike chip that went straight in for a birdie must have blown away all the steam from the Sogoh Bomoh until he couldn't breathe till the 18th hole. AP was also firing for once and he came on strong although still below his best at least not for a 10 handicapper but it was enough and at long last we were able to savour the sweet taste of victory. But this is not to take away anything from the glamour gang philantrophist and i must say once again a big thank you to JBBO for everything today including my green fee and ofcourse i am embarrased cos i was in a hurry to go and forgot to pay up my contribution for the skins. I am sorry gang i really forgot but i hope some samaritan covers that too for today's round. I have been trying to forget about the clinic visit and thankfully i didn't have to but somebody got burned on home ground today. I wasn't quite sure whether the club in the bag was kalah all the way or the japanese iron who got angry because now dia sudah jadi bini tua and have to sleep in the store instead. RGS i notice you try to make a come back with your Canadian lover but that too did not help when it matters on the executive holes. I kept faith with my one and only but probably should try new partner some day when situation permits. But it was quite a day all the same and for the record JBBO was truly a drunken putter and he was all over the holes, left, right, below, above, short, long, practically everywhere except the bottom of the cup. Do that more often or at least one more time like in the song and then we are even. WeeeeWeeeeewit dari bujang nyingur, asih dayung sien kai nuh puaan. Lambai - lambai mister Sanuh ngangkat tangan awang geram inya da ramin kai puaan. Steady aku dengan AP weeeeeeeeeeewit.

Brasso is brewing and now becoming "brasap"
What can i say again! The writing is all over the wall and why did i even venture to fall back to that brasso which has over the last few hours been emiting smoke. Maybe i should check with the Red Indian tribes, that is if they play the modern golf game, cos it does look like i'll be smoking the pipe of peace if nothing change drastically with my game and that of my partner too. Rain Man has no further excuse but to just say this one inspiring phrase and i quote "Its not the dog in the fight but the fight in the dog that matters" and ofcourse in the game of golf, you only drive for show but you putt for dough. Maybe i should carry that tag in future to remind myself of those inspiring words. Can't go for any secret training due to the poor weather but its a good time to reflect and ponder how did it all happen and when will the recovery be realised.
Hey JBBO, i just heard that your new set not only bring you fortune on the fairway and greens but also at the Red, Yellow and Green temple of the Kings ........Deep Purple i guess if my memory don't fail me. Congratulations and maybe there is some ang pow for the new year hehhehheh. I will miss you guys and our keenly contested duel for this weekend and probably the next week if you are all competing but i am still looking forward for another grudging but eagerly awaited matchup between the vintage and hitech weapons of the past and the future.

the sins of the WWW.com
RGS
I am amazed with your search result but I am glad that mine is now a vintage club. Just like wine it gets better. KL says no amount of technology can help but maybe he was wrong cos it does sometimes. But it doesn't matter cos people do get back to their vintage club for help so maybe I just need to put a bit of the "Brasso" rub and they will be fine. JB you better take note also as the rainy days will be over soon and AP may just get his act back.

Soaking wet and still "Brasuh"
Humble pie or shall i say crumbs. How else can i describe the beatings over the PGC and KGS duel in the last 48 hours or so. It was humiliating and deeply embarrasing to be on the losing end each time but one must accept defeat gracefully and live to fight another day. My partner and i certainly have a lot of catching up to do but that's not the hard part. The most bitter part is the putting skill of our nemesis and hopefully this will come to a stop sometime and soon i hope. Golf is won on the green and those putts hurts cos' they were dropping in all the time even when they shouldn't be. Even when one didn't drop in as expected, the Bomoh still got the brunt of it. The Bomoh on the other hand will just have to start some serious meditation to be immuned to all the sound/noise and trampling on the putting line. I hope this will be achieved before the end of the month and this long break, although not a good thing in term of maintaining momentum, will be useful to calm some nerves and rejuvenate the energy and the fire power that is sadly missing. Things are getting slightly better though and the putts are dropping when it matters and that's a good sign to start with. Also hopefully AP would have recovered from his serious drop in form and hits all those shots that makes him "The Only Bidayuh Golfer" under the MAKSAK category. For now we have to swallow some pride and survive on humble pie and hopefully catch some cod fish and turkey meat for our next round. JabiRick just don't say that i didn't warn both of you. Oooooooh Hah.

Pre-match psywar
JB, your partner has done a great job getting your secret weapon on time for the battle of the Matang/Santubong witches. I have prepared my potent juice just in case I need it to booster my game particularly the short game around the fringe. No practice.this week but Saturday is always a day to look forward to. So till then hahahahahaha.

JBRGS combination
Just a friendly reminder that Saturday will not be a "friendly" weekend. Its black magic man on the loose. Watch out for the first and last hole. What happens at these hole will sum up the day.kalau last hole outcome not so good well you know that some fish will be steamed hahahahahaha.
Beetlenut juice
It looks like I have to get my beetlenut juice ready for this weekend. One thing I can agree with JB is that past scores are merely history and ofcourse the stake makes a lot of difference. I need to be one step ahead in terms of strategy but a 3 wood to a driver can be embarresing. Whatever it is I would be ready with my only weapon this Saturday. JB can you softly remind our par 3 and 5 specialist that its beginning to be a walk in the park and also that my bag can still accomoda(e any unused club.I am posting this while also watching Papua TV which has just concluded its programme at 10pm.

Technology, craftmanship and witchcraft.
Lately i have been hearing quite a fair bit of talk on technology and craftmanship and well, i must admit that i am getting a little bit envious each time i get to hear what those lethal combination could do to roast me on a hot Saturday morning or late Sunday afternoon. The truth is i do get roasted and i would be very lucky if i can get my appointment with the doctor cancelled early. Last Sunday was another classic example but it was a good outing by any count. I was hooked onto an aircon bus that really started functioning late in the round. But i did my fair bit earlier on so it wasn't really riding as a passenger. This Saturday though will promise a totally new proposition and it certainly will be fun ---- you know with the virgin club and the fat-buttock callaway partnership that would be a mouth watering prospect. That combination of virgin JB "Kalahway" and RGS "obese buttock kalahway" is doomed to fail and self-destruct. On an individual note, my gut feeling is that my FT5 and B-52 bomber will wreck havoc on my nemesis RGS fairway and those 'Executives 3 and 5 holes will be a thing of the past. White-wash lah like the good old days when the battle ground was spread over the whole course. So RGS and JB just be warned cos i really can't wait for doomsday.

Cloud Seeding
I guess my nemesis [RGS, AP and JB] knows what i mean and lest they forget, this weekend [Saturday] will be a day that they wish i would be around. Some nasty alien has informed me that they are not too pleased that i have been replaced although i have already consented to that replacement. They say its not the same and so come saturday the course will be a wash-out and will only clear by Sunday afternoon. So unless there has been some arrangement made to appease the rain man on Sunday afternoon i can't help but feel sorry for you guys. Well you know how its done so i suggest JBBO or RGS or AP do something early to avoid some serious disappointment ha---ha-----ha----ha -----hah.

Some Technology that can help
I truly admire my friend RGS. He not only knows the technology that can help but he also has the means to acquire those technology from cyber space. That is good cos he needs them badly. My motivation lately has dwindled slightly because the challenge has been limited to the less demanding par 3 and 5.He has been winning for the last 2 weekends but this will stop soon. This weekend I will leave it to JBBO to deal with him but if Sunday duel is on then its my turn. Callaway will soon be Kalahalltheway.

The battle is on with a new battle cry
RGS i finally got to check this blog but unfortunately there wasn't much to read for the new year. The new year game was a washout but that was deliberate cos'the birdie on that par three favourite was too much to handle with a four skins advantage. Then came the appreciation golf for the new Deputy Minister and that too was a let down with 'snowman' ever so eager to pop up when you least expect an unwanted x'mas gift. Good thing though cos the organisers were generous to reward the 'Bomoh' with a nice carry bag for his effort to ward-off the rain for the whole afternoon although it was clear that the rain was about to come any minute after the first group tee-off at 1.18pm. After exhausting all my energy to ward-off the rain you really can expect the bomoh to last all the 18 holes. It was only by the stroke of luck that the final hole show some sympathy and although the 10 foot putt did not earn a birdie it was good enough to prevent the bomoh from a slow walk to the 'skin specialist'. But things could change by this weekend and although one visit to the driving range would probably not do much justice to the swings it's the effort and enthusiasm that will make the difference particularly when playing against the perpetual nemesis ---- you know who. So till saturday then when this blog could be updated with glee.
