golf extravaganza when it was least expected
We just can never tell when our next best round of golf will be but golf is a game that is full of surprises and your good round can just well be your first game after a long absence. Who would have thought that an old rusty iron set with a not so advanced high-tech driver and a shaky 56 year grandfather can outdrive and out-play a couple of thirty something youths playing in their prime age. But that's exactly what happened last sunday when this shaky 56 year old grandpa recorded a back nine score on Demak nine of 6 pars one double bogey and a not so attractive double par to clinch 4 skins and some additional bonus payment to put the icing on the cake. My nemesis Mr RGS was up to his nose trying to keep pace and fortunately he was able to do just enough to ensure that our eligible bachelor (who else if not Mr JB) bail him out with the bonus and RGS was merely playing the role as a channel for the transaction. As usual the old man started very slowly and RGS was firing right from the first hole but he was kind enough to allow the veteran to call the shot for LD which was never called because it was conditional upon RGS getting tired and probably by the tenth hole to start the LD but he was strong alright and there was little point to have the LD duel by then. My buggy mate did justice on the front nine and i probably took over at the back nine to roast our nemesis JBRICK 3 and 2 [5-0 to the finishing hole]. I bet JBRICK can't wait for the return grudge match and i can't blame him but his opportunity will come soon enough [Sat. May 1 to be exact]. I just hope my trusted putter stays with me for the whole 18 holes and also my drive stays on the fairway. Till then JBRICK.

Easter Sunday date
JBRick,
Many thousand apologies for the Easter Sunday breakaway from PG Club. I had to fulfill several obligations and as a result i was unable to commit to the date which i was eagerly looking forward to. I don't know how you all fare that day but the weather was really fine and i thought that there would be some story to tell. PG club can be both tricky and nasty and the par 3 can never be under estimated. I hate to think that my 9 Iron can't even reach the 100m/yd par 3 but that's the story so far and maybe in future i will just have to hit a magic wood if that is what it will take to be on the green ha ha ha ha ha.
