Soaking wet and still "Brasuh"

Humble pie or shall i say crumbs. How else can i describe the beatings over the PGC and KGS duel in the last 48 hours or so. It was humiliating and deeply embarrasing to be on the losing end each time but one must accept defeat gracefully and live to fight another day. My partner and i certainly have a lot of catching up to do but that's not the hard part. The most bitter part is the putting skill of our nemesis and hopefully this will come to a stop sometime and soon i hope. Golf is won on the green and those putts hurts cos' they were dropping in all the time even when they shouldn't be. Even when one didn't drop in as expected, the Bomoh still got the brunt of it. The Bomoh on the other hand will just have to start some serious meditation to be immuned to all the sound/noise and trampling on the putting line. I hope this will be achieved before the end of the month and this long break, although not a good thing in term of maintaining momentum, will be useful to calm some nerves and rejuvenate the energy and the fire power that is sadly missing. Things are getting slightly better though and the putts are dropping when it matters and that's a good sign to start with. Also hopefully AP would have recovered from his serious drop in form and hits all those shots that makes him "The Only Bidayuh Golfer" under the MAKSAK category. For now we have to swallow some pride and survive on humble pie and hopefully catch some cod fish and turkey meat for our next round. JabiRick just don't say that i didn't warn both of you. Oooooooh Hah.

  1. A similar display of potency is from JBBO for the first nine and few freak drives from RGS saved the day.

He who putts with thick skin is a winner and RGS certainly did not show much of it. Sensitivity is still very much part and parcel of golf.

JS is right on the Matang 9 to say RGS was rattled there. As a result of that crunch putt and timely remark, RGS’s putt fell flat and lost the hole.

The way the game of golf affects the mind more than anything else is a factor with RGS. But hey! Who says golf should be played in a sound proof room? So there you have it. RGS cannot fault the coughing from AP and the humming of ‘duff’, ‘top’ and ‘shank’ from JB or the famous clinched-fist from over-the-moon JS.

I totally agree with JS that the real battle is on the green and as a battleground should be noisy with battle cries.

Ok. Maybe on my putt, I should have SENNHEISER Headphones
    for good measure.

On a lighter note, as long as the Ping G5 iron with its offset degree is out of sync as a result of ‘flying duty’ is still in the stern grip of AP, the balance of power favours the team with the newest weapons. As for JS, two good putts are too few and far in between to cause any damage. Average putts to win need to be less than 36 per round. You still need to make less than 34 in this case but first and foremost get a good GIR else forget it.

To win you need good drive, good second shot, good pitch or chip and great putt EVERYTIME. Matbe even that is not enough against JabRick! Anything less, you pay dear.

  2. Well it does sound like the battle is on again and the next time around it will be a better outing. You can't be lucky all day long just as you should not be down and out all night long. My beetlenut juice was pure and unadulterated but my partner was still in a daze by the small spill at the tee box. But he will be fine for the next round and hopefully that can be by 27 or 28 Feb. cos it hurts more waiting for the day that is dragging. My trusted weapons are still waiting for the "kill" and maybe the blade will have a better cutting edge to get the ball spot on at the green. The chipping needs more focus and practice but this can also be corrected. Driving is pretty flawless and so are the magic woods except maybe the "pondan" wood but once in a while that can also prove to be fatal. So we'll see when the time comes as it stings to wait for the grudge rematch hehhehhehheh.

  3. JS,

If you go to Prison Golf Club there is this teasing poster that says, "Old Golfer Never Die, They Just Fades Away." Perhaps this should read, "Old Weapons Never Fire, There Are Just A Relics."

I think this really sum up your so-call "Weapon Of Choice" when confronting JBBO.

I am tempted to research something about the club you have and still use...most time to no avail. Here you go.

In March 7, 2002, Taylormade 200 Iron was touted as:
Solid clubs. They look beautiful at address and feel great on contact. Helping take my game to the next level. May not be the best irons out there, but definitely do the job - especially for someone who can't afford to drop a grand on clubs!

In January 1, 2010, a review was made on Taylor Made r7 irons. Here is the summary.
These irons have a very good feel when striking the ball. The ball tends to leap off the clubface. I have picked up 10 to 15 yards with each club compared to my old irons. Miss hits tend to go far and straight also. Great value for the price!

In between your model and R7 there are about 25 new models. How did you maintain you ‘ancientness’ and ‘obsoleteness’ to stay ahead and expect to outdo JBBO with his FT Fusion technology?

JS, Your weapons manifactured in 2001 are a little tired, not least after many tumbles. Rest them go golf sake! Get a new tech you rightly deserve.

For all of the wonderful things life that golf provides us, there are some notable drawbacks. One of them is that old golf club that never die and popular stealth technology club like FT Fusion or Diablo Edge and good golf buddies like JB, RGS and AP provide.

Get a new weapon and go to war with equal or better edge!

  4. While it hurts when your losing streak continues, we, on the winning side feel so great and satisfy with our achievements. Winning three games in a row is quite an achievement considering the skill and talent of JasAP combination. Victory is sweeter if both of you are in top gear. Until that happens, we should be enjoying our victories now and then.

I hope AP will agree to continue the JabRick/JasAp battle because I feel it is so cool and fun to outdo & outplay each other. Looking ahead to the next war.
